What is a Modular Closet?

A modular closet is a storage system made of various pre-built units. These units could consist of shoe racks, hanger bars, shelving or drawers. Some closet organizer units are sold in a complete storage system. Custom closets can be created when separate units are chosen and combined into the closet depending on individual needs and tastes.

For example, modular closet storage solutions for shoes are available in different pre-formed units. Some kinds of storage system shoe racks sit on the floor, while others are shelving units that fit more in the center of a modular closet. Many closet storage companies create modular units of the same basic size so the customer has the option of which piece to choose.
