Therapeutic goods is a term that refers to any product intended to be used for the medical benefit of any person or patient, and may include over-the-counter and prescription drugs, blood products, and all sorts of medical devices. Holistic treatments and products are considered therapeutic goods as well, and are also intended to improve health and treat a vast number of diseases and disorders. Dietary supplements, oils, and herbal topical applications, such as aloe vera gel and vitamin E treatments, are part of this category. Unlike prescription drugs and medical devices, these products are often not available from a doctor but can be found in health food stores, online, and from other reliable sources.
