How do I Choose the Best Countertop Pizza Oven?

When choosing a countertop pizza oven, consider the width of the oven, the oven's capacity, what the oven will be primarily used for, and price range. One of the first and most important things to consider is the width of an oven. People who make large pizzas on a regular basis will need an oven that can accommodate wide pizzas. The next consideration is how many pizzas the countertop pizza oven can accommodate at one time. Just as there are models that are intended for baking a single pizza at a time, there are also ovens that have multiple racks that allow chefs and domestic gourmands to bake multiple pizzas at one time.

Most countertop pizza ovens are intended for use in restaurants and cafes and are not designed with domestic food preparation in mind. There are, however, restaurant-quality models that some people purchase for use at home. There are some countertop pizza oven models that are intended to be used to bake frozen pizzas. Before purchasing a countertop oven, find out if the oven is designed to bake fresh pizza, frozen pizza, or if it can accommodate both kinds of pizza.

Choosing the model of a countertop pizza oven will also mean choosing a price range. The kinds of countertop ovens that are used to heat frozen pizzas are often much less expensive than models that are intended to bake fresh pizzas. Price increases dramatically for ovens that can bake multiple pizzas at one time.

One way to offset the price of a countertop pizza oven is to purchase a used model. There are a number of companies that sell equipment that has previously been used in a commercial setting. Restaurants sometimes sell their equipment to these companies when they close or when they upgrade their equipment. As long as the pizza oven is still in good working condition, this can be a good way to get a good price while also getting a restaurant-quality piece of kitchen equipment.

Since countertop ovens that are specially made for pizzas can be costly and impractical, you can also use a basic toaster oven for the same purpose. All you have to do if you have a pizza that is too large to fit in it is break it in half and bake one piece at a time.

You can also stick to purchasing small or single-serve pizzas if you choose to use a toaster oven instead of a pizza oven. It's really not that big of a hassle considering the money you will save. Another benefit you will enjoy is the fact that you can make more than just pizzas in it.

I found a used countertop pizza oven at a store that sells restaurant equipment, and I got a great deal. If you have this type of store in your area and are looking for a small pizza oven that you can use at home on your countertop, check it out to see what they have in stock. Since these types of stores often resell items from restaurants that have gone out of business, they carry a wide variety of items at great prices.
