It can also be used even in regular automatic household appliances. In most of these applications, there are usually a few constant elements involved in artificial intelligence programming, such as a given set of rules and a knowledge base. These are often needed for the successful simulation of human intelligence.

With these elements, computer systems are often able to adapt to environmental changes, search for solutions to problems, and perform the instructions given.
