Macau, one of two special administrative regions of China, has the highest level of revenue from gambling in the world, grossing $33.5 billion USD in 2011 and $38 billion USD in 2012. In contrast, Las Vegas gaming brought in $6.2 billion USD in 2012. Per visitor, the difference is even more pronounced, with Macau at $1,354 USD per visitor in 2012 compared with Las Vegas at $156 USD.
