As technology improves, the number of infertility solutions grows. Some individuals prefer to use traditional methods to treat infertility. One popular, natural method used to attain fertility is Chinese medicine. Treatments should always be performed by someone trained and licensed in traditional Chinese medicine.

One of the most famous medicinal remedies used to treat infertility is herbs. One common herb used in Chinese medicine for fertility is Dong Quai, which also goes by the name Angelica sinensis root. The herb contains vitamins and iron that balances estrogen levels and also regulates menstrual cycle. Dong Quai is especially popular among women who have implantation problems due to autoimmune illnesses.

Another popular fertility herb is Yi Mu Cao, which is commonly used to treat gynecological disorders. Yi Mu Cao has a positive effect on reproductive organs and also improves blood circulation.

Individuals who want to use herbs for infertility should never attempt to self-prescribe an herbal remedy. They should always consult a qualified herbalist who specializes in Chinese medicine for fertility. Additionally, they should also consult a medical doctor before implementing an herbal program for infertility.

In addition to herbs, acupuncture is commonly used in Chinese medicine for fertility. During the treatment, an acupuncturist inserts ultra-thin needles into points across the body. Many Chinese medicine practitioners believe that acupuncture is instrumental in increasing the development of normal fertility. Acupuncture can also be used to treat spasmed tubes, a common fertility disorder.

Acupuncture is often used in combination with herbs. The therapy can improve circulation to the ovaries and uterus, which increases egg health. It also increases the chances that the uterus will be strong enough to hold the eggs.

One advantage of acupuncture is that the treatment carries minimum risks when performed prior to pregnancy. According to the American Pregnancy Association, once a person is pregnant they should consider delaying acupuncture, since if the treatment is done incorrectly during pregnancy, it could cause miscarriage. Individuals interested in acupuncture should make sure that they receive the therapy from a licensed professional. A board certified and licensed acupuncturist can ensure that the treatment is properly done.

It isn’t uncommon for individuals to combine Chinese medicine with Western medical techniques. Individuals who want to use a combination of Chinese and Western medicine should inform their doctor that they are using Chinese medicine for fertility. Some therapies should not be combined, and could be dangerous when done simultaneously.

@SarahGen-- Have you thought about acupuncture? Chinese medicine herbs are great, but if you can also go for acupuncture, the results will be even better.

Acupuncture has so many benefits. It is being utilized more and more to treat various conditions and even Western doctors have started recommending the therapy to their patients. It has been proven that acupuncture can increase blood circulation to various parts of the body and improve function in those organs. It's also completely safe and side effect free. Just make sure that you go to a an acupuncture practitioner with plenty of experience.

@SarahGen-- I used a Chinese herb blend to balance my hormones and reduce my stress levels. I do believe that they contributed and helped me get pregnant. But I urge you to see a Chinese herbalist or a doctor who knows Chinese medicine for your herbal blend. Everyone's problem is a little bit different and random herbal blends will not help you. You might experience more problems if you take the wrong herbs. So don't just go to a Chinese medicine store and ask for herbs you heard about from here and there.

The Chinese herbalist will first examine you physically to assess your general health and then will make recommendations. That's the right way to go about it.

Has anyone here used Yi Mu Cao herb for fertility? I've decided to try Chinese herbs to improve my chances of getting pregnant. I want to try all natural methods before considering in vitro fertilization. I would love to hear some feedback from women who have tried Chinese herbal medicine for fertility.
